In a world that feels increasingly out of control, our freedom seems to be slipping away. We think we have control, that we can steer our lives in the right direction. But deep down, we know that life lives itself, and we’re not really in charge.
Free Failing is the realization that we’re not the doer. Things just happen. Failure isn’t something to fear, because it doesn’t really exist. If you’re not in control, then there’s no such thing as failure. The pressure falls away, and it just is.
Free Falling is when you realize there’s no ground beneath you. You always thought you had something solid to stand on, but really, it’s all just emptiness. It’s painful, yet also liberating. The ego wants to hold on, but there’s nothing to grab. Everything is unanswered, and that’s the wonder.
The cosmic joke is that we try to understand what is un-understandable. We think we can control it, but it’s that very desire for control that keeps us trapped.
Free Failing is letting go of the self-imposed demands. Free Falling is experiencing the space, the emptiness, that is actually full of everything that is. We’ll never grasp it, and that’s the beauty of it — the unconditional love of not knowing, where nobody has the answers.
